COME AND TAKE ON THE SUMMIT OF THE 2023 TOUR DE FRANCE – 17.07.23
On Wednesday 19 July, Courchevel will host the finish of stage 17 of the Tour de France. The stage is shaping up to be THE big challenge, with more than 5,000 metres of elevation gain to endure or exploit throughout the day, starting from Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc. In the finale, riders will revisit the impressive Col de la Loze before dropping down to Courchevel, where there will still be a fight on the altiport runway, which rears up at 18%.
It is the most feared difficulty of this 2023 Tour de France: the Col de la Loze, which peaks at 2,304 metres, will be the roof of this 110th edition.
Experiencing the climb of this hors catégorie pass, on the same roads and in almost identical conditions to those of the professional Tour riders over the last 35 kilometres, starting from Brides-Les-Bains at 10 am and finishing on the landing strip of the Courchevel Altiport, will be a great first!
In the spirit of the Étape du Tour de France, the Ascension du Tour will take place on Monday 17 July on the rest day, 2 days before the official finish of the Grande Boucle. A unique opportunity to compare yourself with your favourites and to finish with a sprint up the royal road, climbing the landing strip, with Mont Blanc as a backdrop!
For this first edition, one of the legends of cycling and a consultant on France TV will be the godfather: Laurent Jalabert!
