The 5th stage of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel in memory of Lionel Blanc

To thank Lionel Blanc, who sadly died in an avalanche while on his way to his hut “Grand Plan” in the Avals valley, the members of the association Courchevel Sports Mountaineering (CSA) have decided to pay tribute to him next Wednesday (8 January) at the 5th Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel (DSTC).

Lionel Blanc, this mountain enthusiast, was enormously involved in supporting and helping the events put on by the CSA association, and more particularly the Dynafit MOONtain Races Courchevel, of which he was the initiator. This night trail, held every full-moon Tuesday during the summer season with the finish at his hut, was a genuine success every summer thanks to his warm welcome at 2,280 m altitude.

This 5th stage of the DSTC will be dedicated to him, and all the registration fees will be donated to his two children Baptiste and Julie. A collection box will also be provided at the start and finish for anyone wishing to make a donation. The shop Le Camp de Base, partner of the event, will donate 50% of the revenue from equipment rentals by participants who come to take part in this 5th climb, the “Lionel Blanc special”.
