Round 3 - DYNAFIT SKI TOURING COURCHEVEL - 25 December 2013
William Perrier and Emmanuelle Boddele win the 3rd stage of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel
William Perrier and Emmanuelle Boddele win the 3rd stage of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel.

The third stage of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel fell on Christmas Day, and 59 ski tourers were at the start of this 3.2 km time trial with 500 metres of elevation gain. A good remedy for working off the excesses of Christmas Eve and the Christmas meal. Even Father Christmases were there, and the volunteers of the organising association “Courchevel Sports Mountaineering” did not hesitate to don the red and white hat to brighten up the evening.
Among the competitors, Mathéo Jacquemoud of Courchevel Sports Mountaineering, third in the Vertical Race event of the French ski mountaineering championships last weekend, had come to try to improve his record, but the difficult snow conditions did not allow him to optimise the climb as he wished, and he had to resign himself after losing his climbing skins just before the last kilometre. He therefore finished the climb on foot, carrying his skis, in the company of his father Daniel , in a little over 34min.
The colours of Courchevel Sports Mountaineering were nevertheless well defended by William Perrier, third in the junior category last Saturday in the Vertical Race event of the French Ski Mountaineering Championships, who won in 26min44s ahead of Julien Poquet of the HTMS (27min03s) and the reigning French ski mountaineering champion in the Sprint event, Yann Gachet of the club Chamonix Ski Alpinisme (27min25s). Yann Gachet, also an instructor at ESF Courchevel 1550, won the climb for the ESF challenge standings.
Among the women, victory went toEmmanuelle Boddele of CAF Albertville in 42min47s. Gicquel Stéphanie, a fan of extraordinary challenges such as the North Pole Marathon in April 2013 and a ski touring expedition in Antarctica in November 2014, where she and her husband Jérémie will have to cover no less than 2,000 kilometres in 70 days, took second place in 46min55s. Sylvie Geuten completed the podium in 58min08s.
At the finish, a small gift was given to all the participants.
Guillaume Prin, president of the association “Courchevel Sports Mountaineering”, and his whole team wish you a very happy 2014 and invite you to join them on Wednesday 1 January to start the year in style.
