26 competitors set off in ski mountaineering this Wednesday 8 December for the first edition of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel. After collecting their bibs, the skiers gathered at the start in front of the Le Praz tourist office, which had been specially decorated by the Courchevel Sports Alpinisme association for the event. At 6 pm, the time-trial start was given to the first competitor, who set off at a lively pace with his headtorch to cover the 3.2 km and 500 m of elevation gain before the finish in Courchevel. The other participants follow the track at 30-second intervals. At the finish, the athletes cross the line one after another under the inflatable arch in front of the Croisette to the cheers of the public. After enjoying the aid station on the ESF 1850 reception strip, the competitors went to the Forum for the prize-giving in front of the Camp de Base. Mr Robert Gonzalez, Director of Dynafit France, thanked all the participants and volunteers before rewarding the winners of the race, who have already set fine reference times. Blandine Du Crest finished first among the women in 34min 34 and Alexandre Pellicier won among the men in 25min15.
