Wintry conditions were present for this 8th round of the Millet Ski Touring Courchevel. Strong gusts of wind did not discourage the 80 daredevils, who enjoyed good gliding conditions on the course groomed a few minutes before the start to swallow the 3.2 km and 500 m of elevation gain between Le Praz and Courchevel 1850.

The podium of this 8th round was decided within 25 minutes. Rémi Berchet won in 25min07s ahead of Vivien Berlaud (25min31s) and Anthony Fraissard (25min58s).

Among the women, Corinne Favre won in 28min25 ahead of Géraldine Bau in 32min19s and Véronique Lathuraz in 32min24s.

In the ESF Challenge, victories for Grégory Gachet of ESF Arêches in 26min18s and Pascale Gachet-Mauroz of ESF Courchevel 1550 in 38min43s.

The countdown to the 2016 Millet Ski Touring Courchevel is now under way. Only 7 Wednesdays remain for competitors who want to grab the season record, improve their time, or come and test themselves if they have not yet done so.

The grand finale is scheduled for 23 March with the traditional fancy-dress climb. It will also be the occasion to celebrate not 100 years! but the 100th climb on this Vertical Race course, with the famous group "La Compagnie Créole" coming to prolong this carnival atmosphere to Caribbean rhythms. Other surprises are expected to make this exceptional evening stay engraved in memories! Get ready to dance the zouk and party by signing up quickly: places are limited. Registration closes on Wednesday 16 March. Non-runners can register for the show only. Info/Registration:
