La Compagnie Créole in concert in Courchevel on 23 March!
The president of the “Courchevel Sports Alpinisme” club, Guillaume Prin, and his whole team are cooking up an exceptional evening for the 2016 final of the “Millet Ski Touring Courchevel” on Wednesday 23 March. This ski mountaineering race, born on 10 December 2010, has now been running every Wednesday during the winter seasons for 6 years. These timed night climbs, open to all, amateurs and specialists alike, bring together more than 2,000 ski tourers each winter.
The final apotheosis is scheduled for 23 March with the traditional fancy-dress climb. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate not 100 years! but the 100th climb on this Vertical Race course, which has become the essential reference in the ski mountaineering world. The famous band “La Compagnie Créole” will prolong this carnival atmosphere to West Indian rhythms. Other surprises are expected to make this exceptional evening unforgettable, notably the presence of a celebrity who will host the prize-giving.
Come and applaud and encourage the 600 costumed participants expected, who will set off at 6 pm from Le Praz on this 3.2 km course with 500 m of elevation gain to arrive at Courchevel 1850 on the snow front. Then meet at the “Envolée” Gymnasium at the foot of the Olympic ski jumps, a few metres from the start, for a very festive evening beginning at 8.30 pm.

For the anniversary of this special 100th, open to all (participants and spectators), entry to the show is €25 for spectators. The registration fee for the race and show is €15 for participants in costume and €25 for those not in costume.
